Music24 - Dementia Groups

Music24 - Dementia Groups, provide an important and safe space for those living with dementia and their carers to enjoy the many benefits of music to enhance emotional, mental and physical health /wellbeing. People can make music, sing familiar tunes, write songs and improvise in a fun, informal and supportive setting. You don't need to know anything about music to join in, just enjoy the experience.

Our groups are led by those taking part and supported by our specially trained team of music therapists.

We offer group sessions twice a month in a safe and supportive community setting. These locations are not advertised as we encourage people who wish to find out more, to contact us directly on 01582 250024 or raise a referral through this referral link.

For those living with dementia we may also be able to provide 1:1 music therapy in someone’s home or in care homes. These sessions are recommended for people who are unable to leave their home or care home or are deemed ‘hard-to-reach’. Some may also be receiving end-of-life, palliative care.

For further information on how to refer please visit our website: Music24.
