Active Herts

Thinking about making a few lifestyle changes and becoming more active? Active Herts is an exercise on referral programme that Broxbourne Borough Council has been running for the last eight years. We aim to support inactive Borough residents who are at risk of cardiovascular diseases and or mild to moderate mental health conditions. Our Get Active Specialist will help you find a fun and friendly activity to suit you and your fitness level. There is plenty on offer with a number of low impact exercise classes across the Borough.

We have over 20 low impact exercise sessions ranging from swimming, low-impact group exercise, health walks and stretch and relax classes. All of our classes are led by highly qualified fitness professionals. New referrals receive six weeks free of Active Herts sessions and then it’s £5.00 per person per session. We also signpost into a number of Council run activities and external exercise groups from Park-Run, Badminton and Hertfordshire Health Walks.

We know that getting active can be difficult so our local, friendly and professional Get Active Specialist can help you get started.
