The vibrant, welcoming buildings are gateways to discover information and learning and experience reading, art and culture, as well as improve your health and wellbeing. Everyone is welcome. East Herts Libraries include: Hertford, Ware, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford and Bishops Stortford. Borough of Broxbourne Libraries include: Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Goffs Oak and Hoddesdon.

Membership is free for people of all ages, and every library has a wide range of stock – everything from books and audiobooks to magazines and ebooks. There are public PCs, printing facilities and free WiFi, plus lots of regular and one-off events for both children and adults to enjoy.

All our libraries provide a warm space and a place for everyone so if you're feeling chilly at home during the winter months, you'll always be welcome. We can't always promise a cool space in the summer as some of our buildings are older and do not have air conditioning, but we can guarantee and fun and free reading experience for children with our annual Summer Reading Challenge.
