GATE Herts (Gypsy and Traveller Empowerment)

GATE Herts is a community-led organisation working in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas to promote awareness of the issues that affect the Gypsy Traveller Communities. Our mission is to build a sustainable organisation that provides leadership both locally and nationally in addressing the disadvantage and discrimination that GRT communities experience. This includes: challenging discrimination and racism; working in partnership with service providers; promoting social inclusion; conducting and commissioning research and improving the quality of life for our communities.

GATE Herts have links to Education, Health , Accommodation and Employment to support and empower GRT communities to bring about change. For further details on all of our services, visit our website HERE.

Gate Herts also have an IT Suite where members of the Gypsy, Traveller and Roma community can be supported to apply for benefits, job seeking and upskilling. Call or email us for further details.
