The Counselling Foundation: Counselling Service
Counselling can offer support for a range of different needs and challenges and provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a counsellor about your difficulties and concerns. You and your counsellor will work together to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
You do not have to be in crisis or on the verge of one before choosing to seek counselling - counselling is for everyone.
The Counselling Foundation is a provider of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited counselling and training services. We have been working to support people since 1974 and we are committed to making counselling training and services accessible to all.
Who can use this service?
Our service is available to all regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or background and we respect and appreciate each other’s differences and diversity.
There is a cost to this service .Fees are based on household income.
How are services delivered?
You will be offered an initial assessment where you can explore with the counsellor what support you feel you need and decide whether counselling may be helpful to you. We offer in person counselling across our centres in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, and telephone and video counselling across the UK. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and occur on the same day and time each week.
