HCC: Services for Young People
Services for Young People is part of Hertfordshire County Council and provides youth work projects, information, advice, guidance, work-related learning and wider support for young people in Hertfordshire. We run a wide range of youth work projects across the county in which young people can get involved. Through these projects they meet new people, learn new skills and take part in challenging opportunities.
We help young people with the issues which are important to them such as jobs, careers and education, relationships, sexual health, confidence, self-esteem, substance misuse, staying safe, housing and independent living skills. Visit our website for more information.
Who can use this service?
The support at our young people's centres is for young people aged 11-19, up to 25 for care leavers or those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Support can be provided on a one-off or ongoing basis, depending on the young person's needs. All service users must live or go to school/college in Hertfordshire.
How are services delivered?
Our Personal Advisers and Youth Workers are professionally trained to provide the highest level of support and work closely with partners to provide counselling, mentoring and access to other services.
