The Living Room
The Living Room is here to support every adult from Hertfordshire seeking help for an addiction or if you are a family member or carer of someone suffering with an addiction. We provide daily group counselling sessions that are free, open-ended and person focused. We support recovery from all addictions including behavioural, as well as drugs and alcohol.

Whilst the majority of our sessions run from 10.30 - 2.30 each day, we also have some evening sessions for those who are problem gamblers or need family support. All of our services take an abstinence-based, peer support approach to addiction treatment. We have hubs in Stevenage, St Albans and Watford.
Depression, trauma and anxiety can lead people to using behaviours or substances to cope, however soon the addiction takes over control of their lives. We have counsellors with lived experience of recovery from addictions who facilitate peer-support groups to address the root cause and teach tools to release dependency on coping mechanisms.
We encourage people to attend daily and commit to abstinence from their drug of choice. We don't limit the time someone needs to find their recovery, but we work with them to help them to take back responsibility for their lives and go on to live healthy and fulfilling lives in their community.
Who can use this service?
Available to adults who live in Hertfordshire and are abstinent when they access our services.
